Evidence Of Learning
Students will: Write an original short story using the archetypal plot structure of the Hero’s Journey; Build a website that features their story and promotes community engagement; Read, analyze and write about Homer’s The Odyssey and Riordan’s “The Lightning Thief”.

Taylor DeClement is an expert educator who teachers high school English in Philadelphia. She prioritizes a welcoming, student-centered classroom, and she fosters deep engagement through creative writing, rich discussions, and empowering students as leaders. A true lifelong learner, Taylor is pursuing a master's degree in Educational Leadership with a K-12 Principal Certification at Arcadia University while continuing to inspire her students through highly engaging and enthusiastic instruction.
