Students will: Write and build a website; Research the cultural and political factors of an historical era and location; Showcase detailed knowledge of an historical period; Create academic artifacts that demonstrate the values and ideologies that underpin historical societies.
Research the Civil Rights Movement and develop critical advocacy and networking skills to promote the change you want to see in your community.
Learn about environmental science by exploring the fundamental systems that lead into and out of our homes, including: water, food, biodiversity and energy.
Examine bias in media by designing your own retro-style video game that promotes inclusion, while building skills in coding, social studies and language arts.
Learn how Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) impacts the environment in your community and across the country. Then propose a plan for reducing MSW in your community by designing sustainable jewelry and art from cardboard.
